On October 7th, the 2020 Shell Helix F4 Championship completed the sixth round of the season in Zhuhai, with open-team driver Charles Leong taking the lead and teammate He Zijian winning in the F4 and CFGP groups.


Race day is dry, all cars are equipped with the official designated tires - Kumho ECSTA S700 tires to fight. According to the rules, the sixth round starts in reverse order. Cheng Tao and Wei Chaoyin started from the first row, with Lu Junjie and Zhu Yuanjie occupying the second row.


At 13:30 Beijing time, the competition officially began. Cheng Tao cut into the inside line, took the lead into the 1st corner, Chang rose to second place. Pang Changyuan and Zeng YuCheng collided, the two cars stopped at Bend 1, the race will be out of the safety car.


The race resumed, with Hong Shijie overtaking Wei Chaoyin at The 1st corner to move up to fourth place and Chang overtaking Cheng Tao to take first place. Entering the 9th bend, Zhu Yuanjie and Cheng Tao had a rub, Leong in the 1st bend over Li Sicheng, rising a position, Wei Chaoyin in the 9th bend accident retired.


Halfway through the race, Cheng Tao, Li Sicheng, Lu Junjie and Zhu Yuanjie competed for fourth place. Li Sicheng succeeded in overtaking Cheng Tao at the 11th bend. He Zijian, Zhu Yuanjie, Gao Yujia, Jing Zefeng and Cheng Tao side by side into the 1st bend, He Zijian into the inside line rose to sixth place, four cars collided at the 1st bend, Jing Zefeng, Gao Yujia rushed out of the track to withdraw from the race, the race will be out of the safety car.


The game restarted, Zheng Ying-chung took the lead into the No. 1 bend, Liang Hanzhao in the 6th bend over Chang began to lead, Hong Shijie also rose to second place. On the last lap, He Zijian launched an attack on Lu Junjie, and Chang crashed and retired at Bend 7.


In the end, Leong took the lead, with He Zijian winning the F4 and CFGP titles, and Lu Junjie and Cheng Tao winning two and three places. Li Sicheng finished eighth after getting 10 seconds of extra time for overshing under the safety car program. The Masters champion is Huang Weifu.


According to the schedule, on Thursday, October 8th, there will be the seventh and eighth round finals of the Shell Heinek F4 Championship season.
