Shanghai, China (jan 26, 2018) - Asia will host the international automobile federation this year
F3 Asian Championship Certified by FIA. The race will use the FIA's new single frame and engine, and is an integral part of the FIA drivers' pyramid development concept, where drivers progress from formula four to formula one.
The inaugural Asian formula 3 championship will open this summer, moving to sepang international circuit in Malaysia, ningbo international circuit in China and Shanghai international circuit, with 15 rounds of five RACES held throughout the year

The launch of this new event further defines the fia driver pyramid development concept. The China formula four championship was launched in 2015, and together with the southeast Asia formula four championship added the year before last, the new Asian formula three championship can be injected with fresh blood continuously.
The fia formula 3 international championship is expected to be officially held in 2019. Also with a single frame and engine, it will provide a better platform for the championship's formula 3 drivers to be promoted to formula two and formula one.
The formula 3 Asian racing car is built in strict accordance with the latest standards of the fia, with a new Halo cockpit protection system, an updated version of the anti-side impact protection device and a series of safety measures, equipped with a six-speed dial shifter gearbox, with up to 270 HP turbocharged engines. Engine manufacturers, frame and tire suppliers will be announced later.
In addition to the professional category, the competition will also set the amateur groups. Teams will also be competing for the championship and the drivers' championship of the year will be awarded the fia superlicence.
